What Ohana is, and what it is not.
Ohana is
- A peer-led recovery room that opens every night, 11 PM to 3 AM Pacific.
- Free. No sign-up, no account, no intake.
- Anonymous. You do not have to give your name or tell your story.
- A place to show up, night after night, alongside whatever your plan requires.
Ohana is not
- Treatment, therapy, medical advice, or emergency care.
- Legal advice. We cannot tell you how your case will go.
- A court-mandated or agency program, and not a substitute for one.
- A source of attendance verification. There is no roster to sign.
Ask what counts. Keep your own record.
Ohana is built around anonymity, which means there is no sign-in sheet and nothing we can sign for you. If your caseworker or attorney needs documented meetings, ask them exactly what they will accept before you count on any meeting, ours included. The Recovery Network lists other communities we respect; ask each one directly what it can document.
Whatever they accept, keep your own log of the nights you show up. The free toolkit has printable worksheets on triggers and urges, relapse prevention, daily practice, and relationships, and the work you do on paper is yours to keep and show. Please do not put case details into any web form.
Questions parents ask
Can Ohana give me proof that I attended a meeting?
No. Ohana is anonymous by design: there is no sign-in, no roster, and no attendance verification, so we cannot certify attendance for a court or a caseworker. Ask your caseworker or attorney exactly what they will accept, and keep your own log of the nights you show up: the date, the time, and one thing you took from the room.
Is Ohana a court-approved or court-mandated program?
No. Ohana is peer-led support, not a treatment program and not a court or agency program. It does not replace anything in your case plan. It can be the place you show up every night alongside that plan.
Do I have to use my real name?
No. You can join anonymously and share as much or as little as you want. Nothing here asks for your name, your case, or your story.
What if I relapse while my case is open?
Come anyway. Day one, decade ten, or returning after a relapse, you can start from where you are. Nobody in the room will judge you. For what a relapse means for your case, talk to your attorney or caseworker. Ohana cannot answer that.
Where else can I get help tonight?
If you are in immediate danger, call 911. In the United States you can call or text 988, or text HOME to 741741, at any hour. For legal questions, your attorney or caseworker is the right person. For other recovery communities, see the Recovery Network and ask each one directly what documentation it can provide.
Show up tonight. Then again tomorrow.
Getting well while a case is open is one of the hardest things a person can do. You do not have to do the nights alone.
